I am going to be honest this is a longer article so buckle up cause what might seem like common sense is not so common!
Have a mobile-friendly website
Come onnnnnn! it’s 2023 most of us use our phones to go on the internet. If your website isn’t mobile-friendly you will lose significant traffic! In fact, there are some instances where you will be penalized by a search engine if your website isn’t optimized and mobile friendly! So you can be losing out on a lot of potential customers and traffic!
Use search engine optimization (SEO):
Yes this next one takes either some technical knowledge or hiring someone who knows what to do but it’s well worth it. Think about all the things you buy online and search on Google how much money they are making from just being the first that pops up! Often times may not even be the best quality but funny enough we think it is because it’s the first to pop up on google!
Have a clear call-to-action
This one seems like a no-brainer but often time I go on a website and I see buttons everywhere. Often times I’m just like what am I supposed to click or what are you even selling here. If that confuses me being a digital media expert then imagine how this can confuse your traffic so they can end up bouncing of your website.
Use social media
I already know that half of y’all will be like I already use social media. BUT YOU CONTINUE TO SPAM PEOPLE WITH THINGS THAT AREN’T RELEVANT TO THEM AND GIVE THEM NO VALUE. Create engaging content and you will see results, yes it does take time but the bigger companies know that if they start a conversation around a brand the potential is unlimited. People don’t go on social media to be bum-rushed with ads they go to be entertained, so entertain them. If you don’t like doing then HIRE SOMEONE TO DO IT! Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it!
Use email marketing
People overlook the power of keep people of email marketing it may turn a potential client into a client or a client into a loyal member. Don’t just spam emails either provide some value in the email whether it’s a deal or something useful to read… HINT HINT… by the way if you want valuable information like this join our mailing list
Monitor your online reviews
This goes without say reviews are the thing that can make or break your business. Often times people will read the bad reviews first before the good ones. So answering reviews good or bad is very important. It doesn’t take long and you can give a simple and easy response like the one below.

Use Google My Business
Speaking of reviews using google my business will allow you to manage and reply to them but you also get a whole lot of other useful tools to help you increase your web presence!
It’s really easy to claim your business and optimize it!

Use analytics
Again another no-brainer that people overlook. Using analytics will help you make data-driven decisions about how to optimize your website and other online marketing efforts. So instead of blindly guessing and hoping it’ll work out you will make better choices.
Use video
This one is self-explanatory but important! The world we live in is short attention spanned and really video is the easiest way of communicating an idea. BUT DO NOT MAKE YOUR VIDEOS BORING!
Keep your website up-to-date
If you can’t keep up with your website hire someone to do it. Because your website can greatly increase the leads you get and keep people up to date on what you are doing!
